It finely combines three distinct materials:

The blade and fittings: Made of sterling silver, featuring delicate engraved patterns.

The hilt section: A central inlay carved from dark, dense wood.

The pommel: A genuine tuft of black horsehair attached to the end, mimicking a decorative plume or tassel.

This type of item was historically worn as a lapel pin, tie pin, or sweetheart brooch during the late 19th to mid-20th century.

I chose to preserve the original patina, which protects its historical integrity, sharp details, and value for collectors.
