These are vintage Mexican sterling silver and amethyst earrings, crafted using Taxco's modern hallmarking system (introduced in the late 1970s).

Here's the complete explanation of the "TS-55" signature: T: Indicates the city of production, Taxco, the historical capital of silversmithing in Mexico. S: Represents the first letter of the artisan's or workshop's surname (e.g., Sanchez, Sandoval, Solis, etc.). 55: Signifies that this is the 55th artisan or workshop registered with the letter "S" with the official Taxco administration. 

The design features a domed, raised floral motif, in the center of which is set a genuine purple amethyst cabochon. The silver used is guaranteed to be certified to a minimum fineness of .925.
